The Netelco SA team decided to participate in the festivities of the Old Town of Xanthi during the festivities on August 31st to September 7th 2024. The Old Town Festivals, which have been taking place since 1991 with the arrival of autumn. Most of these events take place in the traditional preserved settlement of Xanthi, the so-called “Old Town”, in the alleys of which cultural and carnival clubs are set up to offer food and drinks. Feasts are set up at the clubs’ hangouts, while cultural and visual events are held at the same time.
Netelco ABEE having a passion for automation and modernization designed a gas BBQ, installed and programmed a 7-axis arm from Kassow Robots a Bosch Rexroth group company to grill fully automatically. The arm also used an electric grinder to salt the meat. The arm’s work cycle included the following movements: it took the grill racks with the raw meats, placed them on the grill, turned them until they were cooked, and then placed the cooked meat in a disc.
The purpose of the above application was to highlight the usefulness of Cobots in everyday life, the ease of their programming, the minimum space required to operate as well as the flexibility provided by the 7 axis of the KR Cobots as the Arm was placed on the side of the BBQ adding space and flexibility.
